Takbo Para sa Kapihan | A Race to Save Coffee Trees

Pahimis Festival is a local event for thanksgiving for a very extensive harvest of coffee beans. Amadeo is a town in the Cavite province who pioneers in the coffee farming and processing. Dubbed as the Coffe Capital of the Philippines, Amadeo continues to stir up the industry by supporting its local farmers and producers and also thru the support of the Provincial Government of Cavite.

In lieu with the Pahimis 2012 Festival, the Local Government asked the support of my company, Capstone Systems Inc., to once again direct and spearhead a road race to gather funds for the local coffee farmers. The proceeds of this race was used to purchase coffee seedlings for better harvests in the years to come.

here's the story from my cousin and fellow marathon runner, Ate Sheggz Nepumoceno of the Cavite Running Buddies.
